Legalize “voluntary euthanasia” — Canadian panel
We need to decriminalize a lot of things. There are too many laws against what we can do with our own bodies, and meant protect our selves from ourselves. I think this is source of the deep down frustration of the Tea Party and other ant-government people, but their anger has been redirected and manipulated to support the powerful and wealthy.

Media companies want to become the judge, jury, and executioner for taking down any web site without any notice and without the government being involved. Didn’t Congress get the message that we don’t want anymore corporate power? http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2011/11/wyden-pipa-filibuster/

If you thought a Senate proposal to shutter and disrupt websites “dedicated to infringing activities” has died a terrible death, think again. If the stalled measure reaches the floor, Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Oregon) has promised a filibuster by reading the names of Americans opposed to the Protect IP Act.

This is a depressing article, but it adds a dose of realism to the promise of renewable energy. Basically, there are massive resource trade-offs, and we need to consume a lot less energy. http://thebulletin.org/web-edition/columnists/dawn-stover/the-myth-of-renewable-energy
“Clean.” “Green.” What do those words mean? When President Obama talks about “clean energy,” some people think of “clean coal” and low-carbon nuclear power, while others envision shiny solar panels and wind turbines. And when politicians tout “green jobs,” they might just as easily be talking about employment at General Motors as at Greenpeace. “Clean” and “green” are wide open to interpretation and misappropriation; that’s why they’re so often mentioned in quotation marks.
