I don’t know if I agree, but esteemed liberal and conservative economists agree, get rid of these deductions: – Mortgage interest rate deduction. – Employer health care benefits. Get rid of these taxes: – Corporate income tax (currently at 35%). If you want to tax rich people, then tax them, not the corporations. – All income and payroll taxes. Add these taxes: – Consumption tax. – Sin taxes (smoking, drinking, pollution). As I watched leaves fall, I wondered, why don’t they float?
Why didn’t trees evolve seeds with expanding hydrogen gas sacks that could float to far away lands? There could have been an alternate history where mankind could have taken to the skies much earlier by collecting these seeds. Or maybe some small animals would have learned tricks to float by ingesting whole seeds: floating squirrels! Maybe it happened already on some far away planet. http://youtu.be/mdGSlZWEwE4
