I think the DEA has contributed much to merica’s paranoia about big government and erosion of freedoms. When they see pot raids by the DEA and the stories in the news, it scares them and rightly so.
I think it’s a first amendment issue like Roe v Wade. What we put into our own bodies is our own business and we should have the freedom to do so, whether it harms us or not. However, if done irresponsibly, like harming others and especially children, those irresponsible actions should be prosecuted.
