There’s a fear about AI that it will become intelligent and fear being unplugged, or fear death, and that could cause a Skynet problem. I don’t think this is plausible. Fear of death is an evolved trait, and fear of pain is instinctual – and evolved as well. Intelligent machines won’t be evolved, and few computer scientists would want to give such a negative emotion to intelligent machines.
