I just received a voicemail from Congresswoman Susan DelBene’s office. I write emails to Congress to let them know about issues that I think is important. For this issue, I requested that Congress look into funding anti-aging research as a means of preventing future problems of funding Social Security and Medicare. This was the first time I received a voicemail back. Usually when I get responses back from Congress, it’s a canned email response about a related general issue. Her staff wanted to let me know that the link I sent was interesting and they’ll look further into it, and that Susan supported additional funding for NIH last year. http://www.newsweek.com/2015/12/25/diabetes-drug-could-be-anti-aging-miracle-404370.html

You can also fight aging by donating to early stage research programs. Keep in mind that this is early research and much less expensive than human trials that are needed for the FDA to approve the Metformin drug. https://www.fightaging.org/fund-research/
