If I was a “coyote,” how would I get through or around The Wall? The Wall is expected to be thousands of miles long, costing billions of wasted taxpayer money. After it’s built, maintaining it and surveilling it could also be just as costly and will probably lose funding after Republicans lose control of the next Senate. I would raise the price of crossing the border to help me and my compadres pay for the endeavors. I would purchase demolition dynamite or create a way to blast through The Wall at several points and miles apart. The cost for me to put holes in The Wall pales in comparison the cost of maintaining it. It will be an expensive game of whack-o-mole for border patrol. I might blast several points simultaneously and pick the farthest hole from their station to cross the border while the border patrol is assessing the damage at one of those points. If there are motion detectors, either I will find and damage them or find a way to create false signals, possibly with my own drones to go above The Wall. If that doesn’t work, I would pay diggers to dig deep tunnels underground and several hundred feet past The Wall to get past motion detectors. I would conceal the hatches with sand and glue and bushes so that the tunnels can’t be easily found. Although, I’ve read that the military has tunnel sensing ground radar. Still, that’s many, many miles to look for tunnels. If there are drones used for surveillance, I would create a drone with it’s own anti-drone radar-jamming pointed antenna. I would probably carry weapons and ambush border patrol agents that are patrolling the border. Do you see how this would quickly become the new drug war? If all that fails, I would buy boats to smuggle people at sea by night. I read that the Coast Guard may get funding cuts. I’m just a regular citizen with no criminal record, and even I can see how bad things can escalate.
