Trump’s supporters aren’t judging him based on how well he does or what he does for them. They’re judging him to see how well he spites the liberals, media, and elite as they see it. They could care less if they’re worse off four years from now. They just want to see the other side more wounded and weakened. It really is a culture war for them.
For his supporters, citizens of the USA should identify as white, Christian, gun-toting, unabashed materialists. Everyone else are guests that better pay their respects.
Trump’s supporters just don’t believe that minorities (blacks, whites, LGBT, muslims, atheists) should have the same rights and privileges, and they don’t have empathy for them.
