Authorities in Oregon are pleading with the public to only trust and share information verified by official sources about the unprecedented wildfires sweeping the state. I’ve been thinking about a decentralized platform, and a way to create it make it popular, but I’m wondering if that would be exploited just as easily, if not more, by political hackers bent on causing social upheaval. A centralized platform can take steps to stop what’s happening.
