This is a good article that I hope Democratic politicians read. It really frustrates me that Democrats fight for helping people, Republicans tacitly or directly take credit for it (even if they opposed it), Democrats don’t harp on the fact that they fought Republicans hard to help people, and finally Republicans reap the benefits of satiated voters.
That first narrative (in the article below) shouldn’t be dismissed so easily. There’s a good reason why Republicans repeated the message in advertisements that “Democrats want to defund the police!” They knew that they could scare suburban voters who weren’t as knowledgable about city politics and what goes on in the cities. Fear motivates voters, even if it’s based on a lie. It’s the suburban areas that Democrats are struggling in because we love our liberal bubbles in the cities so much. I’m very tempted to move to a swing state suburb so I can maximize my voting power.

President Donald Trump told an ally that he knows he lost, but that he is delaying the transition process and is aggressively trying to sow doubt about the election results in order to get back at Democrats for questioning the legitimacy of his own election in 2016, especially with the Russia investigation, a source familiar with the Presidents thinking told CNN on Thursday.

Part of me thinks we need a balkanized political and economic system in this country, while staying united on fundamentally agreed upon principles and the constitution. The constitution would allow more freedom for states and regions to become more progressive or conservative up to certain limits. Let progressive areas change their economies in their areas and ban guns and let conservative areas rot away in an oligarchic Walmart dystopia. Those areas would devolve into third world status and Fox News and the like will have trouble blaming the libs for the woes in those areas. Progressives areas would be able to deport and deny services and support to conservatives trying to get them for free without paying the extra taxes.
