It could mimic the effect of deep meditation and psychedelic drugs to safely and instantly go into trance, lose your sense of self, and feel utter bliss and serenity.
There would be therapeutic uses for this in which trauma survivors could be helped very much like how psychedelics are now being used to treat them. It could make the efforts to legalize/decriminalize entheogens moot, as well as developing pharmaceuticals to treat depression and PTSD.
