Biden Releases Hurricane Recovery Funds for Puerto Rico Withheld by Trump Admin
The Biden administration plans to release $1.3 billion in delayed aid for Puerto Ricos recovery efforts after 2017s Hurricane Maria. The aid is also meant to help protect the island against future climate disasters. The federal government will also remove Trump-era restrictions on an additional $4.9 billion in aid to Puerto Rico. The funds are part of a $20 billion package that Congress gave to the Department of Housing and Urban Development to help Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. The New York Times reports less than 1% of the money has been disbursed.

Reading about how immune cells distinguish self from non-self when deciding whether it should attack or ignore. It says that they use voltage potential when tapping other cells. I think there’s more to it than voltage probing. Otherwise there would be much less risk in finding matching organs that won’t get rejected after donation. I think there’s sensing on specific proteins that are in unique quantities for each person.

Hey wait, here’s an idea. Maybe instead of sensing a specific voltage, it senses variations in voltage – like a frequency or rhythm. There could be common chemical reactions that occur in every cell that cause regular and rhythmic variations in electric potential.

Here’s another idea to follow if the last hypothesis is correct. If the electrical signals emitted by a cell are rhythmic due to the cycle of chemical reactions, maybe electrical current tuned to a slightly different rhythm can tune the cell and alter its cycle to match the cellular cycle of someone else. A person needing a donor organ can have their immune system tuned to receive donor organs. Or ,the donor organs can be tuned to sync up with the cellular rhythm of the person needing the organ.

Another one, and this relates to my interest in anti-aging science. I wonder if tuning the cells of an older person to the same rhythm as that of a younger person will have an anti-aging effect. Could electrical signals alter the cellular chemical cycle in a way that promotes clean up and taking out the trash or promoting apoptosis for senescent cells?
