This is interesting if you read this as a critique of self-governance, (small-is-better) democracy, and anarchist tripe.
What I get out of this article and my past experience in group settings: – people don’t like to spend their free time in meetings – people don’t want to spend money on upgrades or fixes if they can kick the can down the road (they have to be scared or shamed into doing it) – getting a majority of people to agree on how to spend their money for the common good is very difficult – real estate developers sell condominiums that include management plans with the selling point that owners can shirk most responsibilities of home ownership
There should be established good governance guidelines/rules/laws in place to get people that live in group/community/society to work more cohesively together. Why isn’t there such guidelines to begin with and why isn’t it taught in civics classes? #civilsociety #condominium #democracy #governance

The disaster in Surfside, Florida, focuses attention on condominiums flaws, but all forms of property ownership carry the potential for ugly surprises.

Smart kid in Mexico was picked on because of her autism, calling her names like “weirdo” and “oddball”. Turns out she has a higher IQ than Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. https://scoop.upworthy.com/9-year-old-with-autism-higher-iq-than-albert-einstein-stephen-hawking/

She has already graduated from high school and is currently in the process of earning two degrees.
