I was so close to launching my music videos TV app! I perfected it, tested, and was making final preparations to deploy, and then … “Video Unavailable” message on nearly every video! I was using YouTube’s videos to show music videos in categories of hit songs. I looked for help on YouTube and Google but they were no help. A few days later I got an answer. Vevo (the company that owns the rights to all those music videos) disabled viewing of their music videos for embedded players. Now Vevo is promoting its own music video apps. Grrrr!!!! All is not lost. I sent a message and asked Vevo if they’ll give me an exception or partner with them. I doubt they’ll do that though. I have another plan. A few months ago I thought about what else I can do with this kind of app and re-use the code. I’ll reveal that later when I’m nearly ready to launch it. It’s not entertainment, but the videos I’m thinking of are far more useful. It will take some more time though.
