The Matrix Resurrections spoilers. Don’t read this post if you haven’t seen it yet. #TheMatrixResurrections #MatrixResurrections I liked the movie, but here are some faults I found in the movie. . . . . . . Trinity should have gotten more dramatic camera focus, especially when realizing her powers before and during the mid-air scene (leaping from a building). I realize that the movie was 2 hours long, but she really should have had more story and camera time! Why did Smith show up coincidentally at that particular time and not years ago? How was it that the exiles and Smith were not deleted in the purge? Why didn’t the machines just invent fusion instead of going to war with each other over the Matrix power plant? Or, having already defeated gravity, they could have easily invented perpetual motion generators. The reason for Smith fighting the Analyst and disappearing before the swarm was very confusing. Oh, maybe he knew he was outmatched by the swarm, but it looked like he disappeared before then. The Analyst talks like an overconfident Bond villain who gives away all the vulnerable secrets. Wouldn’t ‘Tiffany’ be repulsed to Tom’s unkempt avatar (DSI)? The movie makes no reference of her noticing his altered looks, and doesn’t tell us if she was able to see his true image. It was unclear but supposedly implied that Zion was destroyed after the machine civil war. Terrible soundtrack. I thought it was very cool and clever that a movie referenced itself like it did, very meta, but they could have added some dialog humor (during the movie when talking about the game). The post-credit scene was a poor attempt at humor but it wasn’t funny. It should have been split up into 2 movies or made into a 3 hour movie with intermission, because the character development (storytelling) for the other characters was just too short. It was just brief introductions and clips for nostalgia.
