20 years ago – I was a 19 year old Private and it was my first day at Ft Bragg, NC. I was unpacking my duffle bag and I could smell something pungent coming from my roommate’s locker, who wasn’t there yet. There were Star Trek toy ships hanging from the ceiling. I heard other soldiers coming back from work in the hallways of the very old barracks.
