The real deep state controlling where the money goes.

Mike Lofgren, a congressional staff member for 28 years, joins Bill Moyers to talk about what he calls Washington’s “Deep State,” in which elected and unelected figures collude to protect and serve powerful vested interests. “It is how we had deregulation, financialization of the economy, the Wall Street bust, the erosion or our civil liberties and perpetual war,” Lofgren tells Moyers.

Was Will Smith just protecting his brand when he turned down the role of Neo in The Matrix movie? I think he knew white people would be racially triggered when they see a black actor shooting at police in a film than if he were a white actor.
Notice how Trinity and Neo are blasting thousands of bullets at police, but Morpheus (played by Laurence Fishburne) only uses martial arts. They became aware that white audiences would be racially triggered seeing a black character shoot white police.
Irony lost on red pill racists, The Matrix is a metaphor for black liberation and fighting systemic racism, considering that Will Smith was their first choice for the role of Neo.
Many people, especially conservatives, tend to think of Hollywood as being monolithically liberal, but this shows they changed their minds and opted for making tons of money instead after Will Smith turned down the role. Didn’t say a word about about race relations, instead leaving it up to viewers to interpret.
On a side note, The Matrix story was probably heavily influenced by an acid trip or some other hallucinogen. As are probably the best mind-bending sci fi stories. https://youtu.be/r_O3k-RpV2c

FILM DESCRIPTION: What if virtual reality wasn’t just for fun, but was being used to imprison you? That’s the dilemma that faces mild-mannered computer jockey Thomas Anderson (Keanu Reeves) in The Matrix. It’s the year 1999, and Anderson (hacker alias: Neo) works in a cubicle, manning a computer and doing a little hacking on the side. It’s through this latter activity that Thomas makes the acquaintance of Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), who has some interesting news for Mr. Anderson — none of what’s going on around him is real. The year is actually closer to 2199, and it seems Thomas, like most people, is a victim of The Matrix, a massive artificial intelligence system that has tapped into people’s minds and created the illusion of a real world, while using their brains and bodies for energy, tossing them away like spent batteries when they’re through. Morpheus, however, is convinced Neo is “The One” who can crack open The Matrix and bring his people to both physical and psychological freedom. The Matrix is the second feature film from the sibling writer/director team of Andy Wachowski and Larry Wachowski, who made an impressive debut with the stylish erotic crime thriller Bound.
