Billionaires are funding life extension research, probably because they are growing older. As he says in the video, “young people want to become rich, rich people want to become young.” I am grateful for what they are doing here.
I’m not so much concerned about population growth with long lifespans because fertility rates go down with age. Also, those therapies will most likely be expensive, and so limited to fewer people. It’s not fair, but it does create a limit that may be needed.
Today we take a look at Calico Life Sciences and Altos Labs. Both are involved in cellular reprogramming and both are lavishly funded. So, we expect great things. Cellular reprogramming is in the news, and its one of the future technologies to reverse aging that holds great promise.
