The Russian disinformation factory is alive and well. I joined a group of Shitpostings (funny memes, some are offensive, some are risky). I saw the right wing memes. I posted left wing memes. The response was immediate. I wasted too much time defending my memes and tried unsuccessfully to convince them with news links, facts, and logic. I noticed something suspicious in that most of their profiles did not actually have real photos. I reported them as Fake Accounts to FB, but FB didn’t see anything wrong with them. I stopped commenting on my new left wing memes and just trolled them that way. A few days ago, new posts seemed to have stopped. Admins didn’t approve anymore posts. Maybe they got FB jailed, idk.
Anyway, comments are still allowed, though most of the activity is going down now. I thought they’d never stop. Anyway, someone else, Eva, found that one of the profile images was actually from a movie scene, an actress! So the user got that profile image off the internet. We called out that user, the user didn’t respond (suspicious), and just blocked us. As the OP, I could still see the comments though, so I made a screenshot.
