Although I’m not a xenophobe, but I think there’s something to be said for preserving a culture rather than have it get diluted with outsiders. Doesn’t anyone see the value in preserving culture and traditions rather than remember them through books and videos? Maybe that’s the real fear that so many anti-immigrant people have. Where should the line be drawn?
Diversity has helped to enrich the USA and bring in talent from all over the world. However, there are some places that are completely devoid of culture (except for materialist culture). When the British discovered India and brought back spices, so many were relieved to taste something better than the bland food they had before. Now they are getting ready to vote to leave the EU because there are too many people from the outside. Maybe they feel like their historical culture is getting diluted and it feels incredibly wrong.
