There is anti-aging research that indicates that the aging may be reversed and humans lifespans can be extended much longer. I’m thinking about what that’s going to do to families and divorce rates.
When we get older, we tend to settle down. We realize the clock is ticking. We aren’t as youthful and pleasant looking as before. We find someone we’re compatible with and have a family.
What will happen if our youthful looks and energy are restored? I remember reading about how obese people who were in supposedly happy relationships underwent bariatric surgery, and a year or so later, their relationships collapsed. With better looks, there were more dating/mating opportunities available to them.
Imagine the effect this have on children of middle aged parents who take anti-aging supplements and the parents later get divorced.
Imagine all the middle aged divorcees looking to date younger people and each other (anti-aged) too.
