I’m probably not the first to think of this, so help me understand where the flaw(s) is/are. Telomerase can be used to make us younger, but it could also allow cancer cells to proliferate. If (big IF) cancer cells are dependent on DNA repair being turned off, then it should be a simple logic problem.
Detect if DNA repair has been turned off / disabled / inhibited / suppressed. If it has, then turn off telomerase. If not, then turn on telomerase.
That solves two problems in one. It allows healthy cells to stay young, and it also hinders cancer cells from proliferating!
