If “Loyalty Day” ever gets traction here in the USA, I’m going to start correcting people and say, “no, it’s F- Loyalty Day, it’s International Worker’s Day!”

This is something I’ve wondered about. How do you stay present in the moment, yet balance it out planning and working towards the future? I’ve read other sites also on this subject. Not covered in this link though is “stop worrying about the future, that takes you out of the present. Instead be present in planning for the future and enjoy the process.”
This link recommends have a destination to go to, but enjoy the journey instead of ignoring it or making it all work, work, work. https://medium.com/personal-growth/a-false-dichotomy-living-in-the-present-or-planning-for-the-future-1c6f66a02099

You can be present and plan for the future at the same time.

Is that really homophobic, or is it fake outrage by people who could care less if it was homophobic? “Sir, you attract more skinheads than free Rogaine,” Colbert said near the end of the insult-laden rant. “You have more people marching against you than cancer. You talk like a sign language gorilla that got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin’s c–k holster.”
It seems to me that the right wing has gotten really good at trying to pit the opposition against each other, because they know that the left wing has become obsessed with identity politics and PC culture. If the left wing is that focused and passionate about it, then it can be used against them to tear them apart in one way or another.

“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert is facing backlash for a joke he made about President Trump that many are calling “homophobic”
